but i ask you to remember your empty promise

You would tell me fun things

Don’t you know who you are?

You are the one who wanted to be my friend,

You are the one who wanted to be forever and always,

You wanted to be with me

And now

You sit, and watch someone who plays you

You watch them suffer everything you feel inside

Because you don’t have the nerve to stand up and play yourself
